A kite is a toy consisting of a light frame with thin material stretched over it, flown in the wind at the end of a long string.

All kites weren't made to fly they were made to glide in the wind softly and peacefully. A kite gets up on the wind by gravity for ex.gravity is what pulls us down, wind pulls light things like plastic bags and paper in the air. Then the top of the kite lifts the wings and the end of the kite drags in the wind, thats what makes a kite glide.

When the kite is in the air the back of the kite is on an angle attack so it gets a bit crazy and may come back to the ground, from the gravity and  the wind

pulling it down and also the drag.

Kites have been around for thousands of years and are used for scientific purposes and leisure.
